Esprit prides itself in bringing together a diverse
and entertaining mix of entertainment during the week that features talent
from our own TG community as well as from Port Angeles and nearby areas.
On the ticket for this year:
- DJ Penny Gadget: Penny returns again this year
to DJ her own unique collections of popular and dance music on various
evenings during the week.
- The Talent Show features
our own attendees in a variety of comedy, lip-sync, and other acts.
- Glitter Bitch and The Social Hussies with Penny
Gadget, Bruce Johnson, and assorted guest singers plays a variety of
popular hits on Friday night after the Talent Show.
- The Saturday entertainment features a cabaret set
by drag chanteuse and gender illusionist Arnaldo!
His credits include being a soloist with the Seattle Men's Chorus and
performing throughout the US and Mexico as well as to sold out local
crowds in Seattle.
- Saturday evening's musical entertainment features
the clean, crisp guitar-rock sounds of The
Woodies from Tacoma. Their broad selection of popular vintage hits
ranges from the Beatles to Creedence, from Chuck Berry to ZZ Top...it
all adds up to a great evening of listening and dancing.
- The
Nasty Habits: The Nasty Habits have emerged as a unique group of
TG musicians who perform an edgy and energetic evening of 80's dance
hits. If you want to mingle with the locals in a party atmosphere, they
return by popular request to play once again at Castaways (directions)
on Thursday and at The Crazy Fish
(directions)
on Friday and Saturday. Both of these restaurants are just a few minutes
from the hotel by car.
- Port Angeles is also an up-and-coming entertainment
venue and you will often find popular performers and acts at the nearby
7 Cedars Casino and in town.
And who knows who else might show up? In 1999, a barbershop
quartet was passing through the hotel late at night and stumbled onto
the Saturday night slumber party. Doing what any gentlemen would do, they
politely greeted the ladies in the hall and then proceeded to serenade
the ladies with an impromptu performance.
See the descriptions of individual events and the weekly
schedule for more details on planned entertainment.
