Without
a doubt, the Saturday Gala is the most elegant event at Esprit.
This party culminates the week's activities and everyone has a chance
to pull out their finest and spend the day getting ready for an evening
of dining, dancing, socializing, and reminiscing.
This year's party is The Electric Princess Ball. It
will be an over-the-top celebration of the past week with every opportunity
for you to shine. Think Electric Cowboy and Main Street Electrical Parade
and you'll be on the right track.* You, the lights, and all the bright
accessories on hand will make this an unforgettable evening. Everyone
is invited to accessorize their outfit with glitter, lights, and anything
else that fits the theme. We'll have some light-up goodies to hand out
to you as well.
Our party will feature a no-host cocktail hour before
dinner to chat with old and new friends and show off that to-die-for outfit
you finally found (or hand-wired...) just for this party.
A full and leisurely dinner will be served with plenty
of time for talking, socializing with other tables, and picture-taking.
We will feature reknowned drag chanteuse and gender-illusionist
Arnaldo! performing his funny and
music-packed cabaret show. His credits include being a soloist with the
Seattle Men's Chorus and performing throughout the US and Mexico as well
as to sold out local crowds in Seattle. Afterwards, you can "Dance
to the Music of the Decades" with the vintage rock sounds of The
Woodies. From funk to punk, The Police to The Stones, the Woodies
deliver a great evening of listening and dancing.
Don't forget the Slumber Party! As the evening winds
to a close and the realization sinks in that Esprit is coming to
an end, it's a good time to gather in a warm setting and spend the evening
talking and laughing about the past week. The Slumber Party is your chance
to slip into something comfortable and pile into a room with your pillows
and blankets for what is always a loud, fun, and at times emotional get
together. The party is held in the hospitality suite (Room 148) and runs
until dawn for those who can last that long.
